This is the collection of songs i recorded whilst on vacation on Swan's Island, ME. The only instruments i brought with me was a half sized Yamaha acoustic guitar, an early 80s Hondo Mandolin and a midi control keyboard as well as my laptop to record on. Typically i prefer to bring my 4 track and set my parameters at 4 tracks and as long as the tape is. This year all bets were off. Anything that isnt guitar or mandolin is a midi sound. I've been afraid of midi for decades and have just started to dip my toes into it. None of this is set to any tempo or corrected in any way. All drum parts or bass parts are performed live to tape. I couldnt really figure out how to punch in with midi without layering so everything is one full take, whether i fucked up or not. oh well. Music is supposed to be real and have mistakes. That is how you know it was made by a real life human. Ok, to the 5 of you still reading, thanks. These are some of my most fun songs and even though vacation was very heavy and emotional this year i am glad that these songs found their way out of me and into your ears.
